10th Hole-nesting Birds Conference: Olomouc, Czech Republic, Sept 2025
Six members of the EGI attended the 10th Hole-nesting Birds Meeting in Olomouc, Czech Republic, between 10-12 Sept 2025. A total of 75 presentations on a diverse range of questions, all involving cavity-nesting birds, were enjoyed by close to 100 delegates, in the beautiful city of Olomouc.
The prize for best student talk was won by Daisy Abraham, and the conference even allowed some birding on the way to and from the meeting, with highlights including Great Bustard, Pygmy Cormorant, Red-footed Falcon and Great Snipe.
