Seabird-driven energy and nutrient flows

Energy is a fundamental currency across all hierarchical levels of life. Ecological energetics therefore allows us to better understand how organisms meet their physiological demands, interact with their environments, and shape ecosystem processes. I will demonstrate how ecological energetics can be used to unravel the roles of seabirds, focussing on their foraging ecology and cross-ecosystem nutrient transfer.
