I am particularly interested in how climate change affects life-history trade offs, and by extension, population dynamics. My Mbiol project uses winter moths (Operophthera brumata) as a model organism to investigate how temperature experienced at different life cycle stages influences resource allocation to the offspring number-quality trade-off. I then hope to explore whether larger offspring have greater fitness. I aim to provide insight into how temperature experienced across life cycle stages could potentially impact insect population dynamics.
