My career so far has largely focused on wildlife and ecology with a particular focus on long-term studies. After finishing my undergraduate Biology degree at St Andrews University I worked on a variety of wild systems covering both birds and mammals. In more recent years I worked as a Lab Manager looking at the gut microbiome in remote island wild systems.
My PhD is focusing on social behaviour, health and ageing in wild animal populations with a particular emphasis on the use of social network analysis to address these topics.
