I am a Holaday scholar from the US Air Force researching biological flight with guidance, navigation, and control (GNC). I use multi-camera motion capture and open-field videography to model predator–prey dynamics and identify optimal evasion strategies. I take a holistic approach—from experimental design and fieldwork through to data processing and modelling.
I hold a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy, where I worked on the conceptual design of a collaborative combat aircraft—an autonomous teammate intended to enhance a pilot’s situational awareness and engagement options. That work drew me to bio-inspired guidance: applying principles from animal flight to derive optimal evasion strategies in aerial engagements. My interests also include aerospace physiology and biometric telemetry.
