My research examined the causes and consequences of spatio-temporal variation in age structure in natural populations. I investigated how demographic and environmental processes shape age distribution, and how this in turn influences social behaviour, reproduction, and ecological dynamics. Using long-term and comparative data, I aimed to clarify the role of age structure in driving variation in population functioning across different spatial and temporal scales.
