Physiology

About

Our research in physiology focuses on how morphological and physiological traits enable organisms to adapt to environmental challenges, particularly with regards to understanding the trade-offs that shape survival and reproduction.

We address questions related to:

  • flight dynamics
  • thermoregulation
  • reproductive senescence
  • embryonic development
  • eggshell variation

Using techniques such as:

  • infrared thermography
  • experimental manipulations (e.g. thermal tolerance)
  • stress hormone analysis
